I have not been nearly as productive this summer as I wanted. A lot of energy has gone into getting Y-Chromo off to college. He's been there a week, and is loving almost every minute of it.
TV Stevie & I had a pretty full summer -- we went to a lot of shows at area theaters: MAN OF LA MANCHA, THE PRODUCERS, KISS ME KATE, LES MISERABLES.
We also went to our first ever Sushi-Q; we saw THE DARK KNIGHT while dropping Y off at college; tried to visit the Woodstock Museum at Bethel Woods (it was closed due to a power failure) and attended a local political event at an area theater, where X-Chromo was interviewed by the local newspaper.
But writing? Very little. So much for my fantasy of finishing the first draft of my WIP this summer.
And now here it is, Labor Day Weekend. Y-Chromo is in college, most of X-Chromo's BTS shopping is done (school supplies are all that is left), and I'm still too distracted to write.
I have been working on the Bylaws Committee of my local RWA chapter, but that has been only the past week or so.
I'm hoping that once X is back in school, and our routines settle down, so will my brain so I can get back to my characters.

Glad to hear that "Y Chromo" is loving college. How can he be old enough to attend college already??? :)
I know what you mean about the Summer, I have not done half the things I wanted to do.
I saw "C" and "M" a few weeks ago at P&C. She told me they are adopting from Russia. How exciting. I asked how you were doing and she said that she was meeting you for dinner that night.
